How to get to Lugano

Lugano is extremely easy to reach with several means of public transportation (the railroad, the regional Lugano-Airport) and also by means of private transport (the A2 motorway).

The city is in a strategic, geographic position, situated in Ticino – an alpine Canton bordering on Lombardy, which is one of the Italian regions among the most important in Europe from an industrial standpoint. That gives the advantage of being connected with 2 big financial metropolis and cultural capitals – Milan and Zurich, that may be conveniently reached respectively in 1 hour and 2.5 hours.

Lugano airport

Lugano-Agno Airport, situated at 6 km from the city, is an ideal point of arrival. You can proceed to Lugano city center by taxi (30.00 CHF), by shuttle service, or by train from the station in Agno.
